• Each radio is supplied as standard with a cable to simply connect to your PC or chart-plotter, you are then up and running. You can then display other AIS-equipped vessels over your cartography, this provides you with details of their speed, trajectory and also other information including the MMSI number, name of vessel and destination. This is useful to know when using the DSC to speak on a calling channel. The AIS receiver also beneifits from the excellent performance of the IC-M505 and IC-M603.
  
  A major feature of both models is that either may be remotely controlled by one HM-162 COMMANDMIC. By using the central jog dial you can operate essential functions of either model including DSC operation, loud-hailer and foghorn from remote locations such as the cockpit or y-bridge up to a maximum distance of 18.3 metres (60ft).
  
  In addition, the IC-M505 has the option of being controlled by a second COMMANDMIC, allowing intercom facility between the two COMMANDMICs
