When considering which tariff to use with your satellite phone it is worth noting call charges for people to call you on your satellite phone.
Whilst it is free for Iridium customers to receive calls, some phone operators charge varying rates (we have seen some at more than £5.00 per minute!) and we would recommend you check before you commence any purchase.

How do Satellite Phones Work?
Satellite phones work very similar to mobile or cell phones but with one major difference. Instead of connecting to terrestrial cell sites satphones connect to orbiting satellites. Depending on which service provider you choose, coverage may or may not be global. Iridium offer global coverage.
